Emma de Montfort graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2012 with a Law degree and a Masters in French Corporate Law. Emma completed the post graduate Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in 2013.
Emma has practical experience of Common and Civil Law in France and England. She began her career at Freshfields where she worked in Litigation. In 2014, she took up a position at Age UK dealing with Head Office contractual matters. This was followed by a move to HMRC where she worked on high profile corporate tax litigation issues.
Prior to joining David Benson Solicitors in January 2021, Emma worked at the Serious Fraud Office on legal and compliance related matters in preparation for trial, as well as for a prominent family office in London.
Emma is currently a trainee solicitor undertaking a seat in Civil Litigation.
Emma is fluent in English, French and Tamil.
